The guys at Allendale had a great time at the February Men’s Club Meeting, celebrating the life and times of our Founding Father, George Washington! Special thanks to resident, Al, for modeling for some revolutionary garb and being a great sport!
In addition to learning fun facts about George Washington, letters were reviewed that Washington wrote to the gentleman of Newport, Jews and represents of other religious groups, where he vowed that this new nation would be a place of religious freedom and tolerance for the prosperity and happiness of all. The letter is credited for laying the tone and template for The First Amendment.
